Dec 25, 2011  I am so glad the govt has ceased (banned) experimenting on chimps!  What a horrible thing!  They are going to have to answer for that; as well as experimenting on dogs and cats and other animals.  You know the labs who get the grants just drag it out and never find much but they are always looking so they can say they are working on something...The people who really find important discoveries, are the labs who actually do their work with the microscope (microbiology)...Oh the horror of medical science in this country!  Just think about all the money that has been collected at different telethons and charities for decades and they never find a cure for whatever it is...that would be the end of their money!  Greed for money that's what it's all about most of the time.

Everywhere you turn there is corruption and fraud in every field ...what a rotten society.  Soon we will have a new leader.  None of them are pure and righteous completely you know.  Like most preachers even, it is only a matter of degrees of corruption.  You want to pick the one with the less degree of greed and actually may has a priority of helping the country and experience in knowing how to do it, and the strength and courage to follow through.

Dec 9, 2011 - Christmas again already!  What a wonderful time!  Celebrate Jesus' birth (even though he was born in October).  It is a time of giving and loving (we should be doing all year) but people are especially nice at Christmas (a lot of them anyway)...Christmas is a time of hope and believing in the impossible!   Have a wonderful Christmas!   I love you.  JR

Dec 26, 2010 - Hope everyone had a peaceful and joyful Christmas.  I did.  Jesus is so very great!  Today, I am sitting by the fire listening to the crackle of wood and thanking God that all is well.

October 7, 2009 - What about  David Letterman and his confessing before the blackmailer blew the whistle?  You know, promiscuity  is so widespread; people don't know what it means to be honorable anymore.  They think just because most others are abusing their authority, then they might as well too!   What a poor excuse for poor conduct..."everybody else is doing it mom."

July 7, 2009 - I see a lot of people concerned about their credit card debt...and a lot of other people just waiting to take advantage of them by consolidating their debts.  When doing research on this, I have found that it does not seem to help them very much to consolidate.  My advice to you if you are an older person, ready to retire with a mound of credit card debt...and have bought your home and vehicle already,...make your mind up to stop buying on credit.   Once might say..."but isn't it wrong not to pay your debts?"  I say to you, ... is it not wrong to charge "usury?"  God considers anything over 20% usury.  The credit card companies have been going up every year.  The norm for them now is about 26% or 27%.  They fraudulently lie to you to suck you in with a small interest rate and then raise it pretty fast ...continually up, up, and up!  Actually, whoever puts a temptation carrot deliberately available to someone who is starving is just as guilty as the other person.  Would you put expensive jewelry on a table in front of a kleptomaniac and then leave the room...certainly not!  We are to "do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God."  I am not advocating deliberately trying to cheat, but if you really want justice...the credit card companies have some justice coming!

June 17, 2009 - One more thing about men's fingernails...show me a man with long fingernails and I will show you a man who does not have an intimate, sexual relationship with a woman!  (and further...he will not have one as long as he has the fingernails!)  He will have to choose between pretty hands and a woman...think about it.

May 27, 2009 -  I have noticed that some of the TV Evangelists think they must have pretty hands and display them while they talk on TV.  I suppose that appeals to some people; but personally, I think it looks and is silly.  They remind me of some kind of  eastern dignitary...royal Imperialists!  Those pretty hands with long fingernails on the men look feministic and lazy...and the way they move and hold the fingers is really ... uhhhhh...feminine!  Makes you wonder if they have moved to a different realm of sexual orientation.  Makes me wonder anyway.  I think they are just trying to make the talk interesting; but... still, it really shines a spotlight on the fact that they must not do any work or recreation with their hands at all.  Do they ever get them dirty?  I would hope so.  I think it is fine for the women to have long painted fingernails except when they are ministering and laying hands on people to pray for healing, etc.  Then, I think it is best to have clean hands and fingernails that you can see underneath the nails and know that they are clean.  I believe it is best for the women and men ministers to have nails that are no longer then the tips of their fingers.  The men should use a clear polish, if any at all, when they get a manicure.  Again, I think it is fine for the women to paint their nails except when they are praying for people (laying hands on them.).  That is my objective unbiased opinion of what I have observed.  Sure hope the ones I know don't jump on that bandwagon and grow long pretty fingernails with pretty hands and be "fancy girlie-boys!"  I don't say that because I envy them their pretty fingernails...I choose to keep mine short so that I can use my hands.  I use them creating art, digging in the dirt, cooking,  washing dishes, grooming my beloved pets (I would not trust them to someone else), and a myriad of many other things that I desire to do myself..  To me, having to be so careful about what you do with your hands is very inhibiting; almost like being handicapped!  Why inflict that upon yourself?  Perhaps for a special event or party I can see it; but every day...No Way!

May 22, 2009 -   So...Looks like our President is disagreeing with Israel;  ooooooooops...looks like he may get the country into a real jam!

March 23, 2009 - Winds of change are blowin alright!  Whatever possessed our President to think he should appear TV shows ...like the Tonight Show is really out of bounds!  There are too many people he can insult;... which he did.  He needs to realize that it is mandatory  to put a watch on his words and a guard on his mouth.  He is not an ordinary person anymore and should not consider himself a TV celebrity.  I think he must be trying too hard to be "one of the ordinary Americans!"   ... "one of the guys"...He is not in that position anymore.  Pray for wisdom for our President.

February 18. 2009 -  Washouts, bailouts, passing the buck...lots going on in the country; mostly fear.  We are bombarded with ads for medicines that will eventually kill us; most of the medicine is aimed at making you fear and desire their easy pill.  Greed is everywhere, even in the religious community!  A lot of people have lost their way and lost sight of what they should be and where they are going.  On the upside...God is always with those who are expecting Him; and make a way for those who please Him.  Hope you have found love this month...

January 22, 2009 - Everything is fine in 2009!   President Obama has been sworn in.  He is a very likable chap, isn't he?  And I think he is intelligent.  However, no matter how great he may be, I do not feel inclined to compare him to a biblical figure.  I agree with the black gentleman that said ...that Pres. Obama did not have a part in building the country like in the Bible...but that he was leading, etc.   I believe he will do his best... and perhaps... we will all change a  little (for the better, I pray)...along the way.
